Gas Prices Continue to Fall
WASHINGTON – The national average price for a gallon of regular self-serve gasoline this week is eight cents cheaper than the price one week ago and 22 cents cheaper than one year ago.
WASHINGTON – The national average price for a gallon of regular self-serve gasoline as of July 2 was $3.36 — eight cents cheaper than the price one week ago, 22 cents cheaper than one year ago, according to the Energy Information Administration (EIA).
California fuel prices continue to top the rest of the country at $3.77, a little more than 11 cents cheaper than last week and two cents less than same time last year — and even less than San Francisco, which reported an average of approximately $3.80. Despite the higher price, San Francisco’s average was still down 16 cents from a year ago.
At approximately $3.65, the national average for on-highway diesel fuel dropped 20 cents from last year.
