France Give PSA Group Approval to Test Autonomous Vehicles

PSA Group has obtained authorization from the French government to carry out autonomous mode experimentations with non-experts drivers on roads in France, according to the vehicle manufacturer.

PSA Group has obtained authorization from the French government to carry out autonomous mode experimentations with non-experts drivers on roads in France, according to the automaker.

Testing of the vehicles will begin March, with customers behind the wheel of the Group’s autonomous cars.

The tests are a significant move forward for the development of the autonomous car technology for PSA Group, according to the French automaker

The demonstrators with the non-experts drivers will be granted to travel on about 2,000 kilometres of French express roads.

Since July 2015, PSA prototypes driven by experts drivers have already done 120,000 kilometres on European express roads.
