Ford has started production of its all-new Mondeo Hybrid – the first gasoline-electric hybrid car built and sold by Ford in Europe, according to the company.
The Mondeo Hybrid combines a 2.0L engine with an electric motor and 1.4 kWh lithium-ion battery for 67.3 mpg (combined), reaching 100.9 mpg for urban driving and 99 g/km CO2 emissions.
First launched in 1993, Mondeo has since found homes with more than 1.4 million customers across the U.K., according to Ford. The all-new model is produced at Ford’s plant in Valencia, Spain.
