Ford Motor Co. is recalling 1,673 2015 model-year Ford F-650 SD and F-750 SD trucks because they are at risk for suddenly stalling, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports.
The recall covers F-650 SD trucks manufactured from May 12 to July 22 of this year, as well as Ford F-750 SD trucks manufactured from May 12 to Aug. 4 of this year. The Cummins ISB or ISL engines in these Super Duty work trucks may have been equipped with Fleetguard UFF-XT fuel filters (part number FF63009). Their filter shell is at risk of separating from the fuel filter nut plate, causing the engine to stall without warning, NHTSA said.
