Ford commercial vehicles equipped with its SYNC connectivity system in global fleet markets will be soon be available with truck routing software that will allow users to project 3D offline navigation to the in-dash infotainment system and will include a variety of safety features.

Sygic, a Slovak company of global automotive navigation systems, offers truck navigation in-dash connectivity technology via truck routing and many other useful features crafted for commercial drivers, according to the company. Drivers of trucks and camper vans can utilize dedicated features and tailored routing experience, including setting up the vehicle parameters along with maximum speed to avoid restrictions, narrow roads, and low bridges. 

The latest upcoming update allows drivers of trucks, vans, pickups, and caravans with Ford SYNC connectivity on selected markets to connect their device with the in-dash and operate the Truck Navigation by using built-in display.

The system is designed to improve the operational efficiency of fleets, according to a release.

Sygic Truck Navigation is free to download in the Apple App Store and Google Play and will be available with Ford SYNC connectivity, on software version 2.3 or higher, at the end of March for Android devices and in the third quarter for iOS.
