WASHINGTON - Ford Motor Co. is recalling 3,469 MY 2008-2009 F-650 and F-750 trucks equipped with the Caterpillar C7 engine.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the #5 and #6 fuel lines in the trucks may crack at the fastening point to the common fuel rail and cause a fuel leak. This poses a fire risk.
Ford is working with Caterpillar to notify truck owners of the recall. Caterpillar dealers will make any necessary repairs free of charge.
Truck owners can reach Caterpillar at (800) 447-4986 or Ford at (866) 436-7332. For reference, this recall is Ford Safety Recall Number 10V01.
