FCA Issues Two Safety Recalls
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has issued two separate safety recalls for different issues, each of which involves over 5,000 vehicles.

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has issued two separate safety recalls for different issues, each of which involves over 5,000 vehicles.
FCA is recalling an estimated 5,294 2019-2020 Jeep Cherokee vehicles because the steering rack gear may break, possibly leading to a loss of steering control which increases the likelihood of a collision.
To fix the problem, FCA will notify owners, and dealers will replace the steering gear, at no cost to owners. FCA’s reference number for this recall is V99.
FCA is also recalling approximately 5,495 2019 Ram 2500, 3500 and 3500 Cab Chassis trucks because the brake calipers may have been manufactured with an incorrect assembly fluid, which can cause the caliper’s rubber seals to swell.
Swollen seals have the potential to make the brakes drag, which can lead to overheating the brakes and increasing the risk of a crash.
To remedy the matter, FCA will notify owners, and dealers will replace the front brake calipers and brake hoses as well as bleed the brakes, at no cost to customers. FCA’s reference number for this recall is V98.
