Through the first five months of 2014, European commercial vehicle registrations have been up 9.1 percent over last year, according to data compiled by the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA).
In May, new vehicle registrations continued the positive trend commenced nine months ago, increasing by 10.8 percent with a total of 151,484 units, according to the ACEA. The truck segment slightly declined, while registrations of vans, as well as of buses and coaches increased. The French market remained stable (-0.1 percent), while all other significant ones recorded double-digit growths ranging from 12.0 percent in the UK to 13.5 percent in Italy, 16.1 percent in Germany and 41.6 percent in Spain.
