ITASCA, IL - The 2010 Employee Food Drive, "FEED The NEED," was held over a span of two weeks, and the results raised more than 1,100 lbs. of food that was donated to the Northern Illinois Food Bank (NIFB).
ITASCA, IL - EMKAY, Incorporated announced the results of their Summer Corporate Citizenship Event, the 2010 Employee Food Drive, "FEED The NEED." This event was held over a span of two weeks, and the results of EMKAY's efforts raised over 1,100 pounds of food that was donated to the Northern Illinois Food Bank (NIFB). This inspiring display of support was accomplished by an overall desire by all of EMKAY's employees to giveback, and help those in need within our community.
"Our employee response to this event was truly heartwarming. The amount of enthusiasm that was displayed for this food drive was beyonf expectations. In fact, we had one department alone donate almost 45 pounds of food per person." stated Michelle Lewis, Co-Chairperson of EMKAY's Activity Committee.
"I am continually impressed at the overall generousity of our employees and their desire to giveback to the community around us," stated Greg Tepas, CEO of EMKAY. "I feel honored to be a part of our caring and supportive team."
"NIFB appreciates the support the employees of Emkay through their food collection efforts. The relationships we build in the communities we serve are extremely important to the hungry people we help." stated Shannon Thompson, Promotions Manager for Northern Illinois Food Bank.
