Element Fleet Management gathered a record 300 customers and industry leaders to discuss fleet business trends, compliance and cost reduction strategies at the 18th annual Fleet Roundtable event, held Oct. 12-15 in Hunt Valley, Md.
This year's event kicked-off with an Element-Arval Global Alliance board meeting. Next, the company held its first Integration Client Advisory Board, a group comprised of a diverse set of customers representing fleets in Canada, Mexico, and the U.S. The clients' input will assist Element on key priorities for advancing the fleet business and developing its next-generation technology platform and services, according to the company.
"The record-setting attendance at the Fleet Roundtable was both inspiring and energizing, and our discussions with both new and long-time customers were invaluable," said Kristi Webb, president and CEO of Element's fleet management business. "Fleet Roundtable brings together industry experts with clients to gain a deeper insight into fleet industry trends, emerging technologies and solutions for operating efficient and safe fleets."
Speakers also presented several workshops, including a practical session on how to share the "fleet story" to build relationships with influencers and effect change in their organizations. Another workshop centered on opportunities to improve total cost of ownership by capitalizing on the right supply chain.
One of the most popular sessions included, "Seven Habits of Effective Fleet Managers," which was presented by members of Element's strategic consulting team. They offered several fleet management best practices to enhance fleet performance, including rigorous benchmarking and matching metrics to company mission.
