Global fleet management company Element has joined the United Nations Global Compact Initiative (GCI), a call to companies around the world to align their operations and strategies with the GCI's 10 principles in the areas of human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption.
Launched in 2000 by former UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan, the Compact brings business and the U.N. together to give a human face to the global market. Today, the compact is the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative, with more than 15,000 companies and 3,000 non-business signatories based in more than 160 countries and 69 local networks.
