Five more charging sites in the state will be built at: townships Cherry Hill, East Brunswick; the towns of Secaucus and Kearny; and Pompton Plains, according to the company. Additional sites will be built in Clifton, Elizabeth, Fairfield, Jersey City and Somerdale.

Electrify America opened its first ultra-fast charging station in New Jersey is now open, and it plans to install 10 more charging stations featuring 59 chargers in the state in coming months.
The newly installed station is located Bridgewater Township, according to Electrify America.
“We recently received two grants from Sustainable Jersey and the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection to purchase public EV charging stations to install on Township properties. We plan to have them operational by the fall. The opening of these stations at The Promenade is excellent complement to our EV initiative,” said Daniel J. Hayes, Jr., Mayor, Bridgewater Township.

Additional sites will be built in Clifton, Elizabeth, Fairfield, Jersey City, and Somerdale.
Depending on the location, Electrify America’s charging stations range in power from 50 kilowatts (kW) – the most commonly used charging power today – to 150 kW and up to 350kW, which can charge a vehicle at speeds up to 20 miles per minute.
