The Earth Day Coalition (EDC) has received funding from the Ohio Environmental Education Fund to produce the Reducing Geenhouse Gas Emissions project, which will include three Fuel for Thought workshops designed for local fleet directors and one Workforce Development Opportunity in Alternative Fuels workshop for area educators, the coalition announced.

Fuel for Thought presentations will provide attendees an opportunity to learn about alternative fuels, funding availability for vehicles and infrastructure, and personnel training required for operating alternative fuel fleets. In partnership with the National Alternative Fuels Training Consortium, EDC will develop career pathway materials that outline workforce opportunities within the alternative fuel industry that will be presented at a final workshop for educators in May.
