From Tuesday, February 1, Daimler AG will be re-born as Mercedes-Benz Group AG.
At the same time, the company's stock exchange symbol will also change from »DAI« to »MBG«.
One key change will be the rebranding of Daimler Mobility AG—which offers mobility services, finance, leasing and insurance for cars and vans—to Mercedes-Benz Mobility AG.

Rebranding will sharpen the company's focus on its passenger cars and commercial vehicles.

The change comes nearly a year after the truck division was spun off. It completes the company board AGM of October 01, 2021, to become a completely separate entity and rename the brand in order to emphasize the company’s future focus on cars and vans under the brands Mercedes-Benz, Mercedes-AMG, Mercedes-Maybach and Mercedes-EQ.
Under its latest strategy update, Mercedes-Benz plans to have battery electric vehicles (BEV) in all segments in which it is active by the end of 2022, and from 2025 onwards, all newly launched vehicle architectures are to be electric-only. By the end of the decade, the company plans to be fully electric “wherever market conditions allow.”
