Chrysler, Subaru Issue Safety Recalls
Over 14,000 Jeep Wranglers are recalled, and Subaru issued a "do not drive" for select 2021 Impreza models.

In the U.S., over 50 million vehicles have unrepaired safety recalls and many of those recalls involve defective parts that can pose serious risks to drivers or passengers. Fleet owners should be aware of two recent recalls from two different manufacturers.
2020 Jeep Wrangler
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is recalling an estimated 14,410 2020 Jeep Wrangler vehicles equipped with the 2.0 Liter engine because a cracked fuel supply line connector may leak fuel into the engine compartment.
This is a hazardous scenario as a fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the likelihood of a fire.
To fix the problem, dealers will inspect and replace the fuel supply line as needed, at no cost to customers.
Owner notification letters will be mailed Oct. 15. Owners may reach FCA customer service at (800) 853-1403. FCA US LLC's number for this recall is Y10.
2021 Impreza
Subaru of America has issued a do not drive and safety recall on approximately 802 2021 Impreza vehicles because the left-front lower control arm weld may fail, allowing the control arm to separate from the cross member.
A separated control arm may cause the tire to contact the wheel well, resulting in a loss of control and increasing the risk of a crash.
To remedy the matter, dealers will inspect and replace the control arm as necessary, free of charge. The manufacturer advises owners not to drive their vehicle until the repair is complete.
Owner notification letters will be mailed Sept. 3. Owners may contact Subaru customer service at (844) 373-6614. Subaru's number for this recall is WRI-21.
