In mid-May, Chinese-based automaker Geely International Corporation rolled the first automobile off its Uruguay production line.
The first model produced at the plant was a Geely GC2 compact car. Uruguayan and Chinese officials were on hand to celebrate the opening of production.
When the ceremony concluded, staff workers from NORDEX in the GC2 program, all staff of FEWIN, Geely’s subsidiary in Uruguay, and technicians from the Linhai Plant, technical support teams marked the event with a group photo.
