The 2023 Brisbane Truck Show, held last weekend, eclipsed all records for attendance since the Australian event's inception in 1968, drawing for the first time more than 40,000 people representing all sectors of the industry.

Produced by Heavy Vehicle Industry Australia (HVIA), the 2023 event “would be remembered for its landmarks in the industry’s sustainability journey,” said HVIA Chief Executive Todd Hacking.

“The industry has again shown its leadership – well ahead of regulation and standards,” Hacking added. “There is no going back now; this week, Government at all levels have witnessed the compelling case for action to remove all obstacles to these vehicles operating across Australia.”

Several other events run alongside the Brisbane show, including the South Bank Truck Festival, Heritage Truck Show, Heavy Equipment & Machinery Show, and other conferences, meetings, and events.

“A few years ago, we created Australian Heavy Vehicle Industry Week to capture all the events taking place alongside the show,” Hacking explained.
