The Boyd Group announced the opening of a 7,300-square-foot Gerber Collision & Glass center in Jacksonville, Fla.

“This is our sixth center in Jacksonville, and its presence in the south of the city positions us with locations in about every neighborhood,” said Tim O’Day, president and COO of the Boyd Group’s U.S. operations. “This is important in a city as large as Jacksonville to ensure we are in close proximity to our customers and insurance partners.”

Since entering the Florida market three years ago, the company has become the largest operator of auto body repair centers in the state, with more than 50 locations, O’Day said.
