WASHINGTON, D.C. --- Last year, the National Biodiesel Board spent about $1.2 million to lobby Congress on biodiesel fuel issues and legislation.
A disclosure form posted online by the Senate's public records office revealed that the trade group spent $602,074 in the second half of 2007 to lobby Congress about legislation tied to bioenergy, farm and education programs. The National Biodiesel Board spent $633,302 during the first six months of 2007 on similar issues, the AP reported.
