Avis Upgrades Its Tracking System for Corporate Travel Managers
Avis has issued InterActive Release 2.0, an updated version of its Avis InterActive software that was released in 1999. This new program is the rental cars industry’s only customized, Web-based reporting system. The program’s “Data on Demand” feature provides corporate accounts with detailed, password-protected information on rental transactions, as well as renters’ current individual car rental preferences. Release 2.0 offers new, expanded capabilities with a selection of 54 different fields of rental transaction data and 27 fields based on personal preference data, including such items as travelers’ names. Car class reserved and driven, daily rate, pick-up and drop-off locations, duration of rental, travel agency used, and type of credit card used. Managers can perform various analyses on historical spending, since Avis can provide them with up to 30 months of past data.
