Fleet mobility solutions company Alphabet celebrates its 25th corporate anniversary with a solid 700,000-vehicle portfolio and plans to expand digital products and services in 2022.
Despite the pandemic and semiconductor crises, Alphabet saw its 2021 order volume increase by nearly 250,000 vehicles, a more than 18% rise compared to the previous year. The growth figures include a 77% surge – some 46,000 units – in battery-electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles.
The Business grew by around 77% in total compared to the previous year, reaching a peak in the field of xEVs.
The company will launch a brand-new Self Service Portal, offering one digital entry point for fleet decision makers to Alphabet products and services. The AlphaGuide smartphone app also will be fully updated.
Declaring sustainability the company’s “guiding principle for the future,” Alphabet International CEO Markus Deusing says the company will increase the electrified vehicle share of new business up to 30% this year and “will continue our mission of driving awareness and demand for sustainable, greener fleet options.” Alphabet has been electrifying fleets with AlphaElectric since 2013.
Founded in 1997 in the United Kingdom as a fleet management subsidiary of the BMW Group, Alphabet today offers funding, short- and long-term rentals, car-sharing programs, and flexible mobility options. Its steadily enlarging footprint now includes 31 markets worldwide.
