The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has elected Allstate Insurance Co. executive Floyd M. Yager to serve as chairman of the IIHS board of directors.
Yager is senior vice president of property product management for Allstate. He succeeds Jack Salzwedel, chairman, CEO and president of American Family Mutual Insurance Co. Salzwedel served as IIHS chairman during 2016 and will continue to serve as a board member.
“IIHS is entering its 58th year of working to make our nation’s roads safer, and I am proud to serve as chairman of its Board of Directors,” Yager said in a released statement. “I look forward to working with my colleagues on the Board to ensure that IIHS continues to build on its success.”
