The Automotive Fleet & Leasing Association (AFLA) held its first webinar on Feb. 7 on the topic of “Leadership Communication for Women,” and had more than 50 participants. AFLA collaborated with the Women in Fleet Management group on this webinar, which was led by Marilyn Ringo of Speechworks and focused on techniques women in business can use to successfully get their point across in an assertive manner. AFLA said the webinar sparked a lively discussion among attendees, male and female.
Ringo is a former news anchor for CNN Headline News and an Emmy Award-winning television producer and reporter. AFLA said she has been a Speechworks coach for more than 15 years and that she currently teaches Business Communications in Georgia Tech’s MBA program.
AFLA said members will be able to access this webinar for free via AFLA’s website at www.aflaonline.com in addition to other past webinars. Additional topics covered in AFLA webinars include telematics, managing a global fleet, employee monitoring, and climate change. The association said it has more topics planned for 2013 and that those interested can visit AFLA’s Facebook page here.
You can find out more about AFLA and membership on AFLA’s website here.
