The Automotive Fleet & Leasing Association (AFLA) will be enhancing its renowned brand of networking capabilities for the upcoming AFLA NextGen 2020 Virtual Corporate Fleet Conference, which will be hosted virtually Oct. 5 - 7, 2020.
As AFLA transitions to its NextGen Virtual conference, the Association has created an online experience for the conference that allows attendees to easily locate and engage with other fleet professionals, sponsors, and conference attendees using simple search tools.
The platform is broken down in a few simple ways: the lobby, which provides an overview on the latest information and updates regarding the Virtual Conference; a sessions page where attendees can see the full schedule of panels, discussions groups, or keynote presentations they would like to watch or participate in; a sponsor hall, where conference attendees can quickly locate and engage with sponsor virtual tables; and a member lounge where users can return to during their downtime at the Virtual conference to meet and talk with other users who are also in between sessions.
The newly implemented networking services for this Virtual Conference eliminate many issues specific to in-person conferences of the past, including simply locating another person. Using the platform's search tools, attendees can easily locate and contact other users instantaneously using a private chat function.
Attendees can also customize their own personal profile, with the ability to include pertinent information they would like to share with other users including their headshot, company and title, personal profile, Twitter and LinkedIn pages, and more. This information can be set to be private for certain functions of the platform, allowing for flexibility with user engagement.
Certain panels will also include group discussion segments that provide users the opportunity to “sit” in groups of their choice. Users can also easily jump in and out of sessions and navigate through various small group “tables” at their leisure.
Within the sessions page, attendees can publicly chat with all participants or through private chats with those also in attendance for the live session. When in a session, only conversations directly related to those in the same session will be immediately sent to attendees, everything else is directed to a notifications tab that users can review to see messages, discussion invites, and other alerts related to the conference.
This notifications tab will help keep users on track and not miss out on any valuable learning or discussion opportunities.
