The Automotive Fleet and Leasing Association has established a scholarship fund for its week-long, fleet focused mini-MBA program.

To be considered for the scholarship fund, which was made possible with AFLA sponsor, Fleet Street Remarketing, prospective students must submit their applications for the program by May 17, according to AFLA. Interested applicants are encouraged to apply online and indicate their support need through either a full or partial scholarship on the application form.

Topics the program plans on addressing includes fleet leadership, strategy, finance, and negotiations. It will run from Aug. 11 to 17. Applications for the program will still be accepted after the scholarship deadline through May 31.

“AFLA is grateful for Fleet Street Remarketing's investment in kicking off the AFLA Mini-MBA scholarship fund, and we are excited to hear that other longtime AFLA supporters are also considering a contribution. Not only does this show how tight-knit the corporate fleet community is, but it also signifies the importance of high-level education in the commercial fleet space," said Bill Elliott, AFLA's executive director.

Application submissions must include a one-page essay on why you are drawn to the AFLA Mini-MBA program; letter of recommendation from a leader within your current company; letter of recommendation from a corporate fleet industry colleague; and resume showing employment history within the fleet industry.

The program will be held at Bentley University in Waltham, Mass., and registration will also include six nights of lodging and meals for each day. AFLA selected the university as a result of its’ standing as a leading business school, the caliber of its faculty, and the interest administrators showed in the fleet industry. Interested fleet professional leaders are encouraged to submit their application for consideration to attend the seminal class here.
