Advanced Disposal Expanding CNG Fleet, Fueling
Nationwide waste hauler Advanced Disposal is on track to increase its compressed natural gas (CNG) refuse collection fleet to 15% of its total fleet by the end of the year, and will add a new CNG fueling station under an agreement with TruStar Energy.

Nationwide waste hauler Advanced Disposal is on track to increase its compressed natural gas (CNG) refuse collection fleet to 15% of its total fleet by the end of the year, and will add a new CNG fueling station under an agreement with TruStar Energy, the fuel station provider announced.
Advanced Disposal will open a new, large time-fill station in Hartland, Wis. So far, TruStar has built 11 CNG stations for the waste hauler.
The company will fuel 11 trucks at the Hartland station. The company is replacing older diesel trucks with newer CNG models to lower the company's carbon footprint, reduce the costs of operations and operate as "good stewards of the environment while enhancing stakeholder returns," said Richard Burke, the company's CEO.
The company expects to have 58 CNG trucks in the fleet serving Waukesa County over the next several years. The TruStar Energy-built station is located at Advanced Disposal's hauling facility at 559 Progress Drive. The time-fill station consists of two 200 horsepower compressors with fueling hoses to fuel 58 trucks.
Advanced Disposal operates about 3,100 trucks in a nationwide refuse fleet.
