SCHAUMBURG, IL – The 2012 Fleet Safety Conference kicked off day one of a packed event, and event schedule, at the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center Hotel. With more than 230 registered fleet professionals attending, the event focuses on raising the bar for fleet safety, and will host the first-ever Fleet Safety Awards, presented by Automotive Fleet magazine and the American Automotive Leasing Association (AALA).
Endorsed by AALA, the National Safety Council, and the Network of Employers for Traffic Safety (NETS), the two-day event began with a range of sessions that covered critical topics for today’s fleet manager.
Starting with a keynote address by Maggie Cole, Director, EH&S for Monsanto, day one’s sessions covered topics ranging from distracted driving and federal regulations for medium- and heavy-duty trucks to coping with a fatality or serious injury among a fleet’s drivers.
