’02 MY Lincoln LS, Continental & Town Car Offer Communication System
IRVINE, CA — Lincoln LS, Continental, and Town Car for the 2002-model year are offering a Vehicle Communication System (VCS) that will help keep driver and passengers in touch with the world. The system includes a Motorola Time-port color, tri mode phone with a docking/charging cradle located in the center armrest. The system also includes "SOS" (Safety and Security Services) and "I" (Information Services) buttons located in the overhead console of the LS and Continental, and in the rear view mirror of the Town Car. Pressing the "SOS" button can direct emergency help (via Global Positioning System) to the vehicle when necessary. The "I" button connects driver and passengers to the Lincoln Response Center for route assistance and points of interest guidance. Finally, a button with a phone icon displayed on it, allows the user to operate the Motorola Timeport phone in a hands-free, voice activated mode for both incoming and out-going calls. (The VCS system requires the customer to establish a service plan with Sprint PCS.)
