In his new role, Shin is responsible for group strategy and corporate development, sales, marketing, operations, purchasing, remarketing and human resources. Toyota Motor Corporation has launched the all-new Aqua, a hybrid electric-only compact car offering approximately 20-percent more fuel efficiency – 35.8 km/L – than its previous generation. The Aqua is the world's first vehicle to use a high-output bipolar nickel-hydrogen battery as an electric drive battery. According to Toyota, the new battery realizes approximately twice the output as it delivers improved accelerator responsiveness and enables smooth, linear acceleration from low speeds.
