Mike Sims has been named global fleet manager for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. In his new role, Sims manages the Global Fleet Division for the Church of Latter-Day Saints. Previously, Sims was global fleet planning & acquisitions manager for the church, a position he held for almost 38 years. Succeeding Sims as the global fleet planning and acquisition manager is Mark Dibb.
In his new role as global fleet manager, Sims is responsible for planning, acquisitions, and resale of church assets globally. Sims specifies and purchases all vehicles in the U.S. and Canada, along with managing global supplier relations and overseeing motor pool and service center as well as all vehicle operations in the Church Office Building. Sims succeeds Tim Ott, the prior global fleet manager for the Church of Latter-Day Saints, who retired after a 32-year career with the church.
