Automotive Fleet recently had the opportunity to test drive the 2022 Nissan Sentra SR compact sedan. The 2022 Sentra has a lot going for it. It offers a comprehensive suite of intelligent driving technologies including advanced connectivity and performance. From a safety perspective, the Sentra provides the most standard safety features in its class, such as Intelligent Forward Collision Warning and standard Rear Automatic Braking.

The 2022 Sentra is attractive and has eye-catching exterior styling. It also has a refined interior for both the driver and passengers. Standard comfort and convenience features include Nissan’s Zero Gravity front seats, which help optimize posture positioning for enhanced comfort. The Sentra also offers driver assist technologies, such as available Intelligent Cruise Control and class-exclusive available Intelligent Around View Monitor for a more informed (and safe) drive.

Confident Driving Experience

The 2022 Sentra provides a confident driving experience through a combination of power and a suspension design that generates responsive handling and occupant ride comfort.

The 2.0L 4-cylinder engine is rated at 149 hp and 146 lb.-ft of torque, paired by the latest generation Xtronic continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT), which provides a crisp shift feel. Fuel economy is rated at 29 mpg city, 39 mpg highway, and 33 mpg combined for the S and SV grades and 28 mpg city, 37 mpg highway, and 32 mpg combined for the SR grade. Every Sentra also includes Nissan’s advanced Intelligent Trace Control system. The system uses intelligent control logic and high-response brake actuators to lightly brake the inside front wheels during cornering (as required) to increase yaw-moment and provide enhanced handling, stability, and ride comfort.

Standard Safety Features

The 2022 Sentra offers the most standard safety features in its class, including Nissan Safety Shield 360, a suite of six advanced driver-assist systems. Nissan Safety Shield 360 includes Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Warning, High Beam Assist, and Rear Automatic Braking. Intelligent Forward Collision Warning is standard on all models, along with Intelligent Driver Alertness. Sentra also offers Tire Pressure Monitoring System with position monitoring and available class-exclusive Easy-Fill Tire Alert system.
