PHH Arval has introduced a new application of PHH InterActive, its Internet-based information management system, for its supplier network partners. In its initial release, PHH InterActive for Suppliers is targeted to dealers and independent maintenance suppliers in North America to automate under- card limit transactions and finalization of repair tools. According to Tom Keilty, senior vice president of customer and vehicle services, more than 75 percent of PHH’s maintenance suppliers are Web-enabled, and this new application aims to increase accuracy, reduce paperwork, speed up payments, and enhance service to clients and customers. When a driver using a PHH service card comes in for maintenance or repairs, the supplier enters the detail information about the transaction into PHH InterActive. The transaction is automatically edited against the company policy, vehicle repair history, and business rules, and transactions under the client’s predefined card limit receive quick online authorization. In addition, suppliers can finalize totals on all authorized repairs. Using this Internet-based system, the supplier does not need to call PHH for finalization of repair totals or submit a paper invoice on under-card limit transactions. Suppliers get paid quickly, and can easily access the status of each transaction. PHH’s clients benefit from the program because they get their maintenance data in real-time. Data will also be more thorough, since data collection occurs at the point of sale. PHH plans to expand the new PHH InterActive for Suppliers to include applications designed to interact with courtesy delivery dealers and body shops participating in the company’s accident and risk management program.
