DES PLAINES, IL — The National Insurance Crime Bureau released its first half 2012 questionable claims (QC) referral reason analysis, including vehicle claims.

For questionable commercial vehicle theft claims, the organization stated that the number rose from 68 to 72, a total of 4%, when comparing the first half of 2011 to the first half of 2012.

Cargo thefts, on the other hand, dropped 28%, from 37 to 28. Overall, the total number of questionable claims for vehicle thefts remain low, despite the increase.
