Hyundai to Build New Headquarters in Fountain Valley, Calif.
COSTA MESA, CA - Hyundai Motor America showed a rendering of its proposed new U.S. headquarters building in Fountain Valley, Calif. The new headquarters building will be approximately 419,000 sq. ft. and six stories high.

COSTA MESA, CA - Hyundai Motor America showed a rendering of its proposed new U.S. headquarters building in Fountain Valley, Calif., a more than $150 million investment.
The new headquarters building will be approximately 419,000 sq. ft. and six stories high. A one-story, 50,000 sq.ft. technical services facility will connect to the main building, and an adjacent parking structure will be built on the site.
The company said demolition of its old headquarters, also located in Fountain Valley, is currently underway. Hyundai stated it expects construction of the new building to start in spring 2012 and is projected to take 19 months and be complete in the fall of 2013. Architecture and design firm Gensler is designing the building, which Hyundai said will be LEED-certified, targeting the gold level.
The focal point of the building will be its two-story high entrance, which leads to an open-to-the sky public courtyard in the building’s center. A showroom of Hyundai vehicles will be visible from the freeway side of the new building.
