AUBURN HILLS, MI – Chrysler Group LLC ended production of the Dodge Dakota this week, according to the Detroit News. Although the automaker made this decision in its 2009 plan, there might yet be hope for a new small truck from Chrysler.

Edmunds’s Inside Line contacted Chrysler about a potential replacement and Chrysler stated it’s studying the business case for a small Ram pickup, though the company had no more news on the subject.
