North Dakota Bans Driver Texting
BISMARCK, ND - North Dakota Gov. Jack Dalrymple has signed into law a bill that bans behind-the-wheel texting by all drivers in the state. The new law imposes primary enforcement, so law enforcement officers can ticket a driver solely on the basis of texting while driving.
BISMARCK, ND - North Dakota Gov. Jack Dalrymple has signed into law a bill that bans behind-the-wheel texting by all drivers in the state. The new law imposes primary enforcement, so law enforcement officers can ticket a driver solely on the basis of texting while driving.
The law, which takes effect Aug. 1, makes North Dakota the 31st state to ban texting by all drivers. Drivers caught texting can be fined $100.
