SOUTH PORTLAND, ME- Wright Express Corporation announced two senior management promotions. The company has promoted Melissa Smith to President of Wright Express North America and Steve Elder to Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. The changes will help support the evolution of the company into a global enterprise, as well as its expansion efforts both domestically and abroad, the company stated.

"As we continue to diversify and expand our business, we are adapting our leadership structure to support this growth, which will allow us to better innovate and collaborate across the company," said Michael Dubyak, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Wright Express Corporation. "With these leadership changes, my role can now evolve from having a daily focus on our North American operations to focusing on international expansion and corporate development opportunities, as well as creating linkages between our North American and International operations that optimize growth and the transfer of intellectual capital. With our international business in the early stages of development, the appointment of Melissa to her new role will enable us to leverage our North American expertise in order to accelerate our growth overseas."

Melissa Smith, currently Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President, Finance and Operations, will become President of Wright Express North America, a newly created role in which she will be responsible for the strategy and execution of North American operations. She will also ensure that strategies supporting the company's international expansion efforts are being adequately supported by North America. Smith's experience at Wright Express includes taking on increasing responsibility and leadership roles in the areas of finance, operations, information technology, and business development, the company stated. Smith will continue to report directly to Michael Dubyak.

In addition, Steve Elder, currently Vice President, Corporate Finance and Treasurer, will become Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Elder began his career with Wright Express in 1998 and has performed in a variety of financial assignments with increasing responsibility including most recently Treasurer and Vice President of Investor Relations, according to the company. He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from The University of Maine and a master's degree in accounting from The University of Rhode Island. Elder will also report directly to Michael Dubyak.
