LOS ANGELES – Mercedes-Benz’ new MyCOMAND system features a wireless Internet connection that brings cyberspace into the cabin, according to http://latimesblogs.latimes.com. Directions are obtained via Google Maps or MapQuest (off-board navigation). Any radio station in the world that also goes out on the Web can be listened to, and users may link up to their home computers and make selections from their downloaded music library or use Voice Over Internet Protocol (like Skype) to make calls. A Bluetooth phone connection is also part of the package.

You can see the system working in the ConceptFascination car on the Mercedes-Benz stand at the L.A. Auto Show.
