The GM Fleet and Commercial Operations Five-City Tour kicked off on April 23 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway and runs through mid-June. Dealers, media, and fleet customers were given the opportunity to test-drive the 2003 Chevy Express and GMC Savana, which will be available in dealer showrooms later this year. These vehicles feature left-hand door, all-wheel drive, side-access panels, and Vortec engine. Among the other commercial vehicles on hand were the all-new 2003 Chevy Kodiak and GMC TopKick medium-duty trucks that just started hitting dealer showrooms. Features include 54-degree wheel cut for a tighter turning radius and a sloped hood for out front visibility. Completing the product lineup were the mid-cycle enhanced Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra. In attendance to support the Five-City Tour were: John Smith, vice president and general manager of field sales, service and parts; John Middlebrook, vice president and general manager of vehicle brand marketing and advertising; Lynn Myers, Pontiac-GMC general manager; and Fleet and Commercial executives. In addition to Las Vegas, the tour will visit Dallas, Chicago, Atlanta, and New York.
