Sprint Selects Trimble’s Mobile Resource Management for its Local Telecommunications Division Field Service Fleet

Trimble announced on July 29 that the company’s subsidiary, Trimble Mobile Solutions, Inc. (TMS), has been selected by Sprint to provide its mobile resource management solution for installation on Sprint’s field service fleet for the Local Telecommunications Division (LTD). As part of the agreement, Sprint will equip its LTD field service technician fleet with the TMS mobile resource solution. The system will allow each local office to communicate with, dispatch and monitor the status of its vehicles. Installation in the vehicles will begin in the third quarter of 2004.
