The new 2004 Mercury Monterey minivan will go on sale in fall 2003 and offers a new level of minivan safety, quality, and versatility, the company announced at the Chicago Auto Show.
Improvements in the model include:
Available front-and-rear parking assist system.
Fold-into-floor third-row seat and storage options making the interior more comfortable.
Available heated and cooled front seats.
"Safety Canopy" three-row curtain airbags and structural reinforcements for offset frontal crashes.
Sound-deadening and other noise-vibration harshness enhancements for a quiet ride.
Improved body stampings for a stiffer body and fit between panels.
The vehicle also offers a standard 4.2-liter V-6 engine.
