eDriving will distribute its smartphone-based, driver-behaviour solution in Australia via a new partnership with a fleet safety solutions company operating in the country.
eDriving partnered with Driver Risk Management to help distribute the Mentor by eDriving safety solution in Australia, according to the companies. DRM provides driver and vehicle safety solutions that assist Australian corporate entities and individuals in addressing their risk profiles.
Already used by organizations around the world to help improve at-work driver behaviour, Mentor uses the telematic sensors in iOS and Android smartphones to collect and analyse data on the driving behaviours most predictive of risk, according to release. These include acceleration, braking, cornering, speeding, and phone distraction, one of the biggest threats to road safety today.
Driver on-road performance is converted into an individual FICO Safe Driving Score, as the result of eDriving partnering with FICO. Personalised insights are provided to drivers after each trip, showing both positive and negative driving events, and, for the driver’s eyes only, exactly where they occurred. Additionally, engaging, interactive micro-training modules are delivered directly to the driver in-app to help promptly remediate identified risky behaviours.
