Fleet registrations in Switzerland were down by roughly 7% in March, but still accounted for 21% of all registrations in the month.
Skoda was the automaker that saw the most fleet registrations in the country for March, bolstered by the success of its Octavia sedan, which has been the No. 1 fleet model in the country since January 2017, according to Dataforce. The automaker also saw a 21% increase in registration volume compared to the same time last month.
The second most registered fleet model in Switzerland was the Tesla Model 3, meaning that the electric car was only surpassed by the Skoda Octavia, which remained at the forefront despite a 2% decline in volume, while the Seat Leon came in third position.
Following Skoda, was Volkswagen in second place. This was following by BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Audi to round out the top five automakers with regards to leading fleet registrations.
Breaking down different regions in Switzerland, the share of fleet registrations was highest in Zug, a municipality in the country, at just under 32.6%. Elsewhere in the country, growth was also seen in Basel-Stadt (29.2%), Schwyz (25.8%) and Thurgau (25.4%).
