Fleet registrations in Spain achieved the highest growth rate for the month of August, growing 48.8%, while the rest of the vehicle market also saw high registrations due partly by the strength of SUVs.

Volkswagen saw the most registrations for the fleet market in August, according to a report from Dataforce. It was led by the strength of the Tiguan, T-Roc, and Polo. This was followed by Renault, which saw a 41.8% growth.

Nissan was in third, and was bolstered heavily by registrations of the Qashqai, X-Trail, and Juke. Audi grabbed the fourth place spot in terms of fleet registrations, and Fiat was in fifth place which was due to the strength of the 500, Tipo, 500L, 500X, and Panda.

SUVs were a major contributor to the strength in registrations for Spain in August, as the segment was up by 90.6% as a whole. The compact SUV segment, for example, posted 121.1% growth on the month. Within this segment, major contributors to the growth included the Nissan Qashqai, Peugeot 3008, Toyota C-HR, Mini countryman, and the Renault Kadjar.
