Merchants Fleet Management has hired Jeanine Charlton as its chief technology officer, the Hooksett, N.H.-based fleet management company announced.
Charlton was a familiar face, as she had been serving on the company's Board of Advisors. She was hired following a global search, said Brendan Keegan, chief executive.
She has a resume of work in information technology and business integration with companies such as DXC Technology, Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), and Electronic Data Systems (EDS). In the past 25 years, she has enabled enterprise and government agencies by transforming and leveraging technology, services, and people to improve financial, customer, and employee metrics, according to Merchants.
"Jeanine has an extensive executive technology leadership background in automotive, transportation, supply chain and manufacturing," said Keegan. "Most importantly for Merchants, Jeanine brings a high-energy, service-first, and collaborative style that will fuel the development of Merchants expanding into the fleet technology space."
Charlton will be based in Chicago at the Merchants Customer Innovation Center.
Fleet supply has improved, but not everywhere. Merchants Fleet’s Charles Matthew explains where constraints still exist, what risks are emerging, and why fleets shouldn’t wait to place orders.
The arrangement enables franchise dealers to offer flexible lease-to-own programs with no credit checks, no down payments, and no long-term commitments.
