ISELIN, NJ - Sal Giacchi has submitted his resignation as president: of the National Association of Fleet Administrators (NAFA) effective Feb. 5, 2001. Giacchi will complete his term as a special adviser to the board of trustees and will give his final message to the attendees at the Fleet Management Institute in San Francisco.
He will continue his involvement in NAFA as an affiliate member. Giacchi has joined Anthony L. Violi Sr. in forming a new company, Giacchi & Violi Transport Ltd. Giacchi becomes president of this new venture. Violi becomes CEO. Giacchi & Violi Transport Ltd. has terminals on the East Coast, Ohio, Florida, and the West Coast.
