In Memoriam: Stanley Kuryla

Stanley N. Kuryla, 47, died in mid-March. He was a special friend of AALA; he was the Midyear Meeting speaker a few short years ago. Although he moved upwards from post to post in the Ford Motor Co., some far removed from leasing, he retained a constant interest in the automotive leasing industry. Basically a numbers guy, Stan had an acute way of cutting to the marrow of a situation, and like in the other factories, it was always good to be able to get right through to a fellow with authority who knew how to move when he was needed. There aren't too many Stan Kurylas around, but where they do exist, they shine through brightly.
