Hitachi Capital Corp. has acquired Corpo Flota, after purchasing 90 percent of the outstanding shares of the Poland-based fleet management company, Hitachi announced on April 4.

Hitachi, which manages fleet vehicles in the United Kingdom, acquired 90 percent of the outstanding shares of Corpo Flota. The price of the acquisition was not disclosed.

Hitachi conducted market research in Poland prior to purchasing Corpo Flota that showed that "automobile related business including auto leasing is expected to grow, and we believe that our know-how accumulated in the U.K. can be used in Poland," according to Hitachi.

Corpo Flota is a full-service fleet management company that offers auto leasing, maintenance, and vehicle management. Hitachi plans to expand Corpo Flota's business footprint.
