The 2026 Ford Transit will receive a huge internal upgrade.
The upgrades are packed with advanced tech and digital features, driver aids, and over-the-air updates. It’s all connected to Ford Pro software like Telematics1 and is designed to meet the needs of small business owners, fleet managers, or those in need of a capable van.
2026 Ford Transit Connectivity Features
The biggest new feature is a built-in 5G modem and an available Ford Connectivity Package2, which comes included for a year. This means fast, on-the-go internet and unlimited Wi-Fi for up to 10 devices, with quick data connections, cloud communication, and full access to Ford Pro Fleet Management Software.
For those running a business, this means tapping into your van's data, checking its health, and using smart tools without installing extra gadgets. Manage everything from how efficiently routes are running to fuel usage, driver habits, and even maintenance schedules. Users can also customize vans with special
equipment through Ford's available Vehicle Integration System 2.0.
The Standard Ford Co-Pilot360 on the 2026 Transit
Ford Co-Pilot3603 is now standard on every 2026 Transit. Features Include:
Automatic high beam headlamps
A Lane-Keeping System to help you stay in your lane.4
Pre-Collision Assist® with Automatic Emergency Braking to help avoid accidents.
And a rearview camera with rear parking sensors.
The Passenger Wagon XLT gets the full Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist 2.0 package. This adds features like Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go5, Lane Centering, Predictive Speed Assist, and a 360-Degree Camera to see all around the van. Also included is the BLIS with Cross Traffic Alert, which warns about vehicles in blind spots or approaching from the side when reversing.
Another new feature for some versions of Gas Transit is Exit Warning technology. It's designed to alert drivers and passengers if there's traffic approaching from the side, such as cyclists or pedestrians, before you open a door.
The 2026 Transit Interior as a Mobile Office
Every 2026 Transit now features a keyless push-button start and a new 8-inch digital dashboard display. Every Transit comes standard with SYNC 4 with voice recognition and a 12-inch center display, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto™6, and Connected Navigation7.
For those managing a team of drivers or a small fleet, Ford added some smart tools like Fleet
Start Inhibit, Remote Acceleration Limiter, and Top Speed Limiters. Also included are upgraded security features, like impact alerts and inconsistent location warnings.
