Matthew Betz Named 2024 Global Fleet Conference Chair
Betz brings over 35 years of experience in the fleet industry to the 2024 conference, which will take place Nov. 4-6 in San Diego, California.

Betz has held positions in fleet management and fleet sales, and has worked closely for many years with NAFA-the Fleet Management Association, and the American Fleet Leasing Association (AFLA).

Matthew Betz has been named chair of the 2024 Global Fleet Conference, convening Nov. 4-6 in San Diego, California.
The conference moved from Miami in June to San Diego, where the 2024 event will be co-located with the Fleet Forward and Fleet Safety Conferences, taking place Nov. 6-8.
About Matthew Betz
Betz has over 35 years of experience in the fleet industry, working with major fleets across North America. Most recently, Betz held a fleet management position at DTE Energy in Detroit. Recently retired, Betz was responsible for implementing the DTE Fleet EV strategy and has strongly supported DTE’s keen focus on fleet safety.
Additionally, Betz is on Work Truck'seditorial advisory board.
Betz has worked closely for many years with two fleet industry associations, NAFA-the Fleet Management Association, and the American Fleet Leasing Association (AFLA).
In 2008 Betz was awarded NAFA’s Excellence in Education Award, highlighting his involvement in NAFA education as an instructor and frequent presenter at NAFA’s Institute & Expo, as well as at dozens of local and regional NAFA chapter meetings. He served many years on NAFA’s I&E Curriculum Committee, including committee chair roles.
Betz currently serves as president of the AFLA Board of Directors. Last year, he was the conference task force chair, where he led the efforts to organize the 2023 annual conference.
